Hood River Adopt A Dog (HRAAD) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing care, love, and training to dogs in need, preparing them for adoption into loving homes. There are several impactful ways you can support HRAAD’s mission:

Donation Options and Impact
Your donations directly fund essential programs, including the care and feeding of adoptable dogs, adoption support and outreach, stray dog support, and community services such as volunteer programs and educational outreach. HRAAD receives no tax dollars and relies entirely on the generosity of donors. You can donate online via their website, by check through the mail, or in person. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps save lives and supports the well-being of dogs in the Gorge area. For example, a recent goal is to raise $10,000 for a clinic, a campaign supported by Blue Mountain Networks, which will provide critical veterinary care and services to the dogs in HRAAD’s care.

Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers are the backbone of HRAAD. The primary volunteer opportunity is dog walking at the shelter, where you’ll help dogs de-stress and enjoy enriching walks. Adoption Information
Adopting from HRAAD means giving a deserving dog a second chance at a happy life. They regularly update a list of available dogs, each of whom has received medical care, vaccinations, and socialization. Adoption fees help offset the cost of care, but do not cover all expenses, so additional support through sponsorships is always welcome.
